### Getting Started

Windows Security can block the launcher before it opens. This happens because the file uses behavior that looks suspicious to Microsoft, such as injection and protected memory access.

This is required only to prevent Windows Security from quarantining, deleting, or blocking the launcher during setup.

#### Disable Windows Security

1. Open **Windows Security**.
2. Go to **Virus & threat protection**.
3. Click **Manage settings** under **Virus & threat protection settings**.
4. Turn **Off** these options:
   * **Real-time protection**
   * **Cloud-delivered protection**
   * **Automatic sample submission**
   * **Tamper Protection**

#### Add an exclusion

1. Return to **Virus & threat protection**.
2. Open **Manage settings**.
3. Scroll to **Exclusions** and click **Add or remove exclusions**.
4. Add the folder where you keep the launcher and extracted files.

If you skip these steps, Windows may remove the file automatically or stop it from launching.

Some games cause their Anti-Cheat to run in the background even when the game isn't being played, this can cause issues for when you are trying to launch the cheat as they can block it.

### Launch Guide

#### Install Launcher

Download and install the latest version of the launcher to begin setup

#### Run Launcher

Run the launcher as **Administrator**, then enter your license key from your [<mark style="color:$primary;">**Purchase History**</mark>](https://ghostcheats.com/clients/purchases/)

#### Launching Process

After your license is accepted, the cheat will automatically load. This usually takes around **30 seconds**.

#### Open Cheat

Once you’re in-game, press **F2** to **load** the cheat menu

Once you hear a beep sound, click **INS** to **open or close** the cheat menu

If your keyboard does not have an **INS** key, use the **Windows On-Screen Keyboard** instead.

Try this launch order instead:

1. Launch the **game first**
2. Run the **loader**
3. Launch **Medal as Administrator**
4. Press **F2 in the lobby**

<summary>Menu Doesn't Show After Injection</summary>

Check the following:

* Press F2 **only while in the lobby**
* You should hear a **beep sound** when F2 is pressed
* Wait at least **30–60 seconds** in the lobby after pressing F2
* Make sure display mode is set to **Borderless Windowed**

**Windows settings to disable:**

* Windows SmartScreen
* UAC (User Account Control)
* Windows Firewall
* Vulnerable Driver Blocklist

**Software to check:**

* No third-party antivirus installed
* FACEIT Anti-Cheat is fully uninstalled
